The Master's program in Zootechnical Sciences and Animal Health (MECZYSA), contributes to the training of highly competent human resources in zootechnical sciences and animal health that develop projects in accordance with the social and economic needs of the agricultural sector in order to contribute to the generation and transfer of knowledge, to meet the growing demand for animal food and promote the social and economic development of the region, the state and the country through the sustainable use of its resources.
General Objective
To train Masters in Animal Husbandry and Health, with the ability to promote and improve the productivity and health of livestock animals, as well as companion and sport animals, through the generation and transfer of knowledge for the promotion of economic development and social welfare.
Specific Objectives
Alternatives to promote sustainable animal production and the innovation, safety and quality of its products, whose purpose is to analyze the impact of animal production systems from the point of view of food of animal origin, quality and also safe for consumers, as well as to identify sustainable animal production alternatives that provide evidence of their nutritional, reproductive and genetic productivity.
Diagnosis and evaluation of pathogenic agents of importance in animal health and compounds of interest in veterinary sciences", which aims to detect bioactive compounds that have an effect on the health of domestic animals without causing life-threatening sequelae, in addition to providing means to establish measures to help improve the health of companion and sporting animals.
