Dr. Gómez De Anda, a veterinarian graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and holds a PhD in Food Science from the National School of Biological Sciences of the IPN, is a member of the National System of Researchers Conahcyt, level 1, and has the PRODEP-SEP 2024-2027 recognition.
Throughout his academic career, he has worked as a professor at UVM, as well as a full-time researcher and exclusive professor at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. In this state of Hidalgo, Dr. Gómez De Anda has led research on the determination of zoonotic agents that affect production and wild animals, as well as the generation of biotechnological vehicles to mitigate such affectations. In the food field, he has contributed with studies for the creation of functional foods that promote nutrition and health of the population.
His expertise has led him to be a member of the International Trichinellosis Commission since September 2014 and to be invited as a lecturer in courses at the Institute of Epidemiological Reference (INDRe). In addition, he is part of the basic core of the PhD in Food Science and Human Health, as well as of the MSc in Zootechnical Science and Animal Health.
Dr. Gómez De Anda has actively participated in the evaluation of applications for the "Basic and Frontier Science" call, and has collaborated as a reviewer of articles in several national and international indexed journals. He is author and co-author of scientific publications and has been a speaker at international and national congresses in areas such as parasitology, food engineering, biotechnology and veterinary medicine.
He has also contributed as a synodal in Master's and PhD programs in Agricultural Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, co-director of students of the PhD in Food Sciences at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and synodal in several postgraduate programs at UNAM.
