"Freedom of expression is going through a severe problem in Mexico," said jurist Eduardo López Betancourt when he presented his editorial work Medios de Comunicación y Derecho (Media and Law) at the University Book Fair (FUL 2012).
Holder of three doctorates in Pedagogy, History and Law, López Betancourt shared his thoughts on the struggle for true freedom of expression in Mexico. "In Mexico the concern is the rulers... and the leadership system that has the corrupt and dirty country."
In his written work he expresses a message of struggle to conquer an intrinsic good of the human being such as the freedom to say what each one considers correct. The author proposes an intense search to preserve freedom of ideas against everything and everyone, mainly obtuse rulers and men of power who impose their will in the field of communication, he said.
