Symphony Orchestra
Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo
It was founded in 1997, with the purpose of forming a professional musical group of excellence that will allow the dissemination of symphonic music among the university community and society in general.
Every year it offers two seasons with an attractive variety of classical, popular and thematic concerts, in which the most famous and demanding repertoires of classical music are performed, sharing the stage with guest conductors and concert performers of national and international stature.

Enrique Bátiz
He was born on May 4 in Mexico City. He is an internationally recognized pianist and conductor. Since he was 5 years old, he began his enormous passion for music. From his beginnings and before starting his formal studies, he was already performing in public as a pianist, causing astonishment for his undisputed talent.
He studied at the Juilliard School in New York, the most prestigious arts conservatory in the world. He graduated as a pianist at the Warsaw Conservatory. He began his professional career as a pianist and gave concerts in Mexico and Europe. In the field of conducting he began as guest conductor with several orchestras until he established in 1970 the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de México and in 1971 the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México, of which he has been principal conductor, except for a brief interlude, since its founding. He was principal conductor of the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra (1983-1989). He has been guest conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London since 1984. As guest conductor, he has conducted more than 400 orchestras worldwide. He has recorded 162 albums that have received numerous international awards.
