One of the fundamental purposes of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo through the University Book Fair, is to bring the university students, as well as society in general, closer to the work of outstanding personalities and institutions that contribute solidly to the development in all areas of knowledge and progress of our state and country. We are convinced that artistic expression is a fundamental pillar in human formation; for this reason, every year the University Book Fair reserves spaces whose particular objective is to publicly exhibit different artistic collections.
Due to the continuity of the sanitary contingency, derived from the Covid-19 pandemic and with the purpose of contributing to the health care of all those who participate and attend this literary festival; the 34th edition of the University Book Fair, for the second time will be totally virtual, including the artistic exhibitions.
The possibility of enjoying an exhibition without leaving home, gives us a new dynamic in the interaction with art; of course, it does not replace the experience of facing the work; the materials, the vividness of color, the textures, the dimensions, the endless sensations. But it is undoubtedly an extraordinary tool to encourage viewers and bring them closer to the world of art.
