The extension and dissemination of culture is the function that determines the processes to create, integrate, preserve and disseminate the benefits of culture in order to favor the development of the members of the university community and the external society.

Respecting social diversity among individuals is to know their culture, based on their forms, symbols, colors, sounds, customs, beliefs, manifestations, since each individual is a unique being with tastes and social preferences, because in every nation there is a unique and different context, an identity that never ends, that is never rejected, which is inherited to understand who we are today, in a world of constant social changes.

Culture is key to building a more just world and fostering the economic development of individuals and communities, thus contributing to poverty reduction.

The Cultural Extension Division, through the Cultural Promotion Department, determines the processes to create, integrate, preserve and disseminate the benefits of culture in order to promote the development of the members of the university community and society in general.

To this end, it makes available the cultural products of the environment and brings to it those derived from the educational and creative work of the UAEH, assuming that with the rest of the substantive functions it confers viability to the integral formation of the students, as postulated by the Educational Model itself.

Program Target Market Target
Pirinola Kindergarten, elementary and high school students Promote national, regional and local art and culture through diverse activities to train children and adolescents as multiplier leaders who favor participation and expression in culture.
Baccalaureate Cultural Program High School students of the UAEH and incorporated schools To help students build a cultural identity, value the cultural heritage of their state and nation and form values through the experience, interaction and appreciation of the elements that make up the various artistic manifestations, thus contributing to their integral formation.
PIAAC Undergraduate students of the UAEH and incorporated Schools To contribute to the integral formation of undergraduate students through the generic decoded appreciation of the most significant artistic manifestations of culture, which contribute to strengthen their sense of belonging to their social and professional group, defining their cultural identity.
FormArte Society in general To provide high performance and quality artistic workshops to the university community and the general public in music, dance, theater and visual arts under a school-based and professional system that allows students to be trained in a comprehensive manner; achieving the dissemination and promotion of art and culture within the society of Hidalgo.
University, Culture and Society Society in general Promote the harmonious development and the integral formation of the society of Hidalgo, through the creation of cultural artistic events in the areas of music, dance, theater and visual arts that allow the identification of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, as a state, national and international reference in the creation of artistic expressions.
Prollin Society in general Contribute to the development of Citizen Organizations in the State of Hidalgo that support the social benefit by bringing artistic and cultural richness to the society of Hidalgo through cultural and artistic events.
Program for seniors Older adults To integrate older adults in the development and execution of diverse artistic and cultural manifestations.
