Biography of Engineer Adrián Pereda López

Mr. Adrián Pereda López was born on September 8, 1933, in Santa Catarina, Hidalgo. His childhood was spent in the town of Metztitlán and the ranch Las Higueras, as his father was its administrator.

At the age of 6, he moved to Pachuca, the capital of the state, to begin his primary school studies, which he completed at the Melchor Ocampo School, under the tutelage of Professor José Cipriano Sagaon, who was also his tutor.

He attended secondary and high school at the Instituto Científico y Literario Autónomo de Hidalgo, predecessor of the current Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. There he received education and formation with the values of love, order and progress.

During his time at the Instituto Científico y Literario Autónomo de Hidalgo, Adrián Pereda López received the Rotary Medal, which is awarded to the first place in each year of study.

In order to complete his university studies, he travels to Mexico City to enter the Faculty of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with the support of the university military sports pentathlon, where he obtains an education based on the principles of: homeland, honor and strength.

With the values obtained in his studies, he began his working life. Mr. Adrián Pereda worked in the area of market research and advertising for the Radio Centro organization.

In February 1958, he married Ana María Gómez Vázquez, a native of Mexico City, with whom he had five children: Ana Rosalía, Adrián, Enrique, Roxana and Edgar.

In May 1970, he founded Radiorama together with Mr. Javier Pérez de Anda. Radiorama, a radio complex with coverage throughout the Mexican Republic.

The success of the radio group is due to the experience and daily work close to the citizens. The same philosophy that has made Radiorama grow and strengthen day by day, throughout 46 years of hard work.

The Radiorama group carries out important work to inform, educate and entertain through the art of radio throughout the country. Headed by its founder and president, Mr. Adrián Pereda López, Radiorama has become the leading company in radio communication.

Currently, Radiorama has a news information center, an informative concept that brings the audience information close to their lives in each region of the country, but without neglecting all the information that affects us as a country.

As an example of the work close to the citizens, Radiorama group in 1999, and with the initiative of Ana Rosalía Pereda Gómez, who together with her siblings, who have inherited from their father the taste and dedication to radio work, created the Foundation "El Árbol de la Esperanza" (Tree of Hope).

Foundation that, with the philosophy of Engineer Pereda López, was created to support and help the citizens and the country during the emergencies caused by the various meteorological phenomena of recent years. This work has been recognized by the radio and television industry, as well as by other private organizations.

In the 21st century, Radiorama continues to work towards its 50th anniversary of entertaining, informing, creating opinion, educating and supporting society. Now with the third generation of the Pereda Gómez family, Radiorama sees the future of radio in Mexico, preserving the philosophy of Adrian Pereda, its founder.
