*To date, the Autonomous University of Hidalgo has obtained 1,751 recognitions that consolidate its national leadership.
Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo. - The National Evaluation Center for Higher Education (CENEVAL) distinguished 344 graduates of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH) with the EGEL Excellence Performance Award, corresponding to the July-December 2024 application period, in recognition of those who obtained the best results in the country in the General Examination for Bachelor's Degree Graduation (EGEL).
The award, one of the most important in the national academic field, is granted to those who have an outstanding performance in this test of knowledge, who present it for the first time and have less than a year after graduating. Thanks to its commitment to educational excellence, the Autonomous University of Hidalgo has obtained 1,751 awards that consolidate its national leadership.
The institutes of Health Sciences (ICSa), Agricultural Sciences (ICAP), Basic Sciences and Engineering (ICBI), Economic and Administrative Sciences (ICEA) and Social Sciences and Humanities (ICSHu), as well as the colleges of Actopan (ESAc), Atotonilco de Tula (ESAT), Ciudad Sahagún (ESCS), Huejutla (ESH), Tlahuelilpan (ESTl) and Zimapán (ESZi) stood out in this edition.
In terms of academic programs, the award-winning students graduated from undergraduate programs in all areas of knowledge, including Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social and Management Sciences, as well as Engineering and Technology.
During the ceremony, Carmen Enedina Rodríguez Armenta, general director of the CENEVAL, congratulated those who received the recognition, which represents the effort put in and out of the classroom. She added: "To create a better future we need critical awareness and values that are formed through higher education institutions. We do not want only good professionals, but also good citizens capable of leading the country forward".
He also pointed out that only 2.6% of those who take the exam manage to obtain this recognition by achieving an outstanding performance among thousands of candidates from 221 higher education institutions in the 32 states of the country. In addition, 63% of the total number of award winners come from public institutions, which reflects their commitment to the training of professionals capable of facing today's challenges.
For the maximum house of studies of the state of Hidalgo, the achievements of its graduates reflect the educational quality of the institution and its commitment to the formation of highly qualified professionals, in addition, they contribute to consolidate the prestige of the UAEH as a reference in higher education in the country.
