What is iTunes U?

iTunes U is an Apple initiative, a platform created to break down the barriers that limit learning by making educational content available free of charge and in electronic format, since its launch in May 2007.

It is a digital platform that works on the iTunes framework through which universities and other educational institutions provide multimedia material (audio, video and text) to their students or the general public, in order to offer training or curricular content.
