Abstract
This study presents an analysis of marble waste and the research conducted around the world on its possible application in construction materials, particularly at the end of the article, a description of the project being carried out in the Comarca Lagunera (located in the north of Mexico) on the application of waste in the production of structural bricks. The objective of the project is to find a feasible use for marble waste, and to contribute to reverse the negative effects caused to the environment and the population in the area of influence of this waste. The applications carried out in the research, in general, have been basically to use the marble waste as a substitute for some material (cement, sand) to make concrete, mortar, pavements, blocks and bricks. It can also be seen that the measurements taken are mainly of compressive strength.
