Abstract

The interest of this work is to recognize the importance that indigenous groups have had in the history of our societies, as well as the concern for recovering the history of territories considered peripheral to the great centers of power. Hence, this work offers research results that emphasize the relations between indigenous and non-indigenous societies that developed in frontier zones such as the Novo-Hispanic and Mexican septentrion; in addition, it includes a study referred to the frontier of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the intention of showing the similarities between distant spaces that share the characteristics of being frontier areas.
