Abstract
The study of Central American migration in transit through Mexican territory has emphasized different topics, according to the changing behavior of the phenomenon and the social complexity that surrounds it. Population studies have focused on characterizing migrants, determining their origin and causes of departure, as well as describing their context and making visible the problems they face on their way from south to north. Discrimination is one of these problems. Some studies have highlighted the fact that migrants are discriminated against because of their physical appearance, their origin, their voice, and the relationship established between them and crime, but they have also made it clear that migrants are the subject of support and solidarity.
