Abstract

Facial recognition of emotional expression is the ability of all individuals to recognize basic forms of affective expression, which appears on people's faces. Previous research suggests that there are differences in facial recognition of emotional expression among university students, however, there are few studies in Mexico, and that is why the objective of the present study was to determine these differences in university students. Seventy images of the Facial Expressions of Emotion-Stimuli and Test were used. To determine the differences by race, a simple analysis of variance with Tukey's post hoc tests was carried out, obtaining statistically significant differences in the facial recognition of sadness, disgust and anger.
