Abstract

The objective of this research is to perform an evaluation of the measurement system of the transient cycle test, which is performed in the Vehicle Emissions and Engine Testing Laboratory, Diesel Emissions Section of the Mexican Petroleum Institute. This research is a case study, which employs the long R&R method and R&R ANOVA to analyze the process, in terms of repeatability, reproducibility and part variation indicators. The results obtained within this analysis, provide a better understanding about the performance and influence of the factors that have more impact on the analyzed test, either directly or indirectly. Allowing to establish a series of recommendations to improve the performance of the test indicators.
