Abstract

This book brings together a set of highly topical works produced by researchers from the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, from a multidisciplinary perspective, the authors present the results of some research carried out in this institution, providing elements for those interested in deepening their knowledge of the social reality of Hidalgo.as its title suggests, three main axes articulate this book. Although each exposition emphasizes one of these axes, in reality there are three themes articulated in all the chapters. A clear example of this is the proposal of Sylvia Mendoza Mendoza, who studies the impact of indigenist education on changes in the political culture of this population. Through the promotion of education, bilingual teachers acquire a growing importance in the area and become actors that promote new forms of organization, modifying the forms of political participation of the indigenous people.
