Abstract
A better and precise understanding of the engineering of a cement-based material structure at the nanometer level will apparently lead to a new generation of concrete, stronger and more durable, with a desired stress-strain behavior and possibly the newly introduced range of "smart properties" such as electrical conductivity, temperature and humidity. At the same time, this new concrete must have a sustainable cost and must essentially meet the qualities demanded by modern society. Determine the durability of reinforced concrete with the addition of nano-sized particles of carbon and silicon oxide. For mortars with water-cement ratios of 0.6; through the application of electrochemical techniques and chemical characterization tests.
