Abstract
This exploratory research is based on a documentary review of innovation as an axis to achieve technological development, focused on business models and innovation in the business sector. It shows a vision of the problems of the Mexican SME sector due to the lack of competitiveness in the face of the challenges of global markets. Therefore, an innovation model for the business is proposed, oriented to the achievement of being disruptive in front of competitors. The proposed model is integrated by five cognitive phases that will contribute to the need to generate value proposals for the design of a product with business innovation, starting with the discovery of opportunities, generation of ideas, evaluation and solution of ideas, development of ideas, concluding with their implementation and control.
