Abstract

This paper reflects on the concept of Creating Shared Value proposed by Michael Porter and Mark Kramer and Social Innovation as factors that can trigger synergies for the economic development of regions or areas with emerging economies such as Mexico. Based on these two concepts, ideas are put forward that give rise to a conceptual model that illustrates how the different actors involved in regional development can be articulated and generate results of greater scope and impact through the interaction and collaboration of the parties.
