Abstract
The work, made up of 17 chapters by renowned specialists, addresses the study of the indigenous population in contemporary Mexico from a variety of topics, disciplinary approaches and territorial scales. These works address three main themes: the identification of the indigenous population, their sociodemographic problems and the public policies aimed at their attention.
