Abstract
This paper presents a set of strategies and actions proposed in the substantive activity of the Directorate of Continuing Education (DEC) of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH). The research is focused on the analysis of the current organization, where the problems present in the Directorate, its organization, administrative management, quality of service, coordination among staff, job profiles, administrative manuals, efficiency, effectiveness, communication and management style were identified. Opinions and aspects of the administrative and teaching staff were evaluated, using focus group techniques, interviews, documentary analysis, observation guides, brainstorming, and surveys, in order to subsequently propose solutions to the problems detected. The results showed that the DEC is in a process of comprehensive change for improvement.
