Strategic Plan to Promote the Economic and Social Development of the Municipality of Acaxochitlán

The study developed involved the identification of productive projects in strategic areas of the municipality; such as ecotourism, therapeutic flora, fruits, vegetables, livestock and fish farming, which in the future will impact the economic and social development of the municipality, establishing as a basis a sustainable development, which involves the strengthening and development of the services (water, electricity, roads, urban planning, municipal cleaning, security and civil protection) provided by the municipality along with the economic activities that have the greatest impact on its environment at present and those that are planned at a strategic level for the future. A systemic methodology was used that involved: a) approaching the municipality and main actors, b) sensitization process, c) sectorization of the municipality, d) logistics strategies, e) information collection and validation strategies, f) internal analysis and its relationship with its macrosystem, g) development of diagnostics, h) identification of the portfolio of productive projects, and i) strengthening and strategic actions in public services for the municipality's livelihood.
