Abstract
One of the tasks of the history of journalism is to recover the men and women who have felt the vocation, the profession, the passion and the commitment to be journalists. Describing from a gender perspective the presence of men and women in journalism allows to confirm differences and inequality, but also to explain them in order to make both visible in the press scenarios. This is a task that few researchers have done, which has led to the assumption that female participation has been minor or minimal, when it has always been different. Thus, our intention is to combine the history of journalism in the third person plural to describe male and female participation, to note differences and similarities, progress and setbacks, inequalities and equity.
