Labor market participation and impact on time spent on domestic work

The objective of this paper is to analyze the division of domestic and extra-domestic work between men and women in Mexican households from a gender perspective. For this purpose, "inequality indexes" were constructed in relation to work for the market, and domestic and care work. The main source of information is the National Time Use Survey (ENUT) and the National Occupation and Employment Survey (ENOE), made available by the Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI).
