Abstract


Recognizing diversity in its different aspects: culture, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, different abilities and others, commits us to develop intercultural competencies in a global world and in a multicultural society such as Mexico, considered as a key qualification for coexistence in the various spheres of social, school, economic and political life of the citizens of the world. The value of this work consists in reflecting a particular experience of a minority group that over time continues to seek to be heard: migrant agricultural day laborers, in their educational and social aspects, in labor contexts, a diverse and excluded group, a population in a situation of vulnerability. The Mexican State must implement measures to help migrants to have the indispensable socioeconomic conditions, so that they can be demanded to respect the rules, which would be achieved through a good coordination of educational policy with social policy. In order to improve the living conditions of migrant day laborers and the education of their children, it is necessary that various federal and state institutions attend to them through the programs that each one promotes, so there must be close coordination between the agencies responsible for implementing educational and social policies.The main objective of this work is to identify the need for an educational policy for migrant agricultural day laborers. To this end, a review of the legal framework, public policies and inter-institutional coordination among the programs aimed at assisting these minors must be carried out. Finally, a series of recommendations are included to improve their education.
