Abstract


Tutoring is one of the strategies that have been implemented in higher education institutions to reduce failure rates, dropout, dropout, and increase terminal efficiency. The economic situation, the lack of study habits, the social, family and cultural environment in which students develop, are some of the factors that have been identified in various investigations as causes that influence the problems mentioned. The purpose of the institutional tutoring program of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo is to offer support to students in personal and academic matters during their formative process, to improve their academic performance, solve school problems they face, develop study habits, work, reflection and social coexistence. The present research exposes how is the way of working with students at risk of being dismissed again at the Instituto de Ciencias Económico Administrativa and the pros and cons found in the tutorial process.
