González Cano, M. (2012). Perception of mentoring by scholarship students.
Abstract
The present research reveals the perception of tutoring by students of the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at ICEA, who obtained a new scholarship in the period 2011-2012 and who, according to the National Scholarship and Financing Program (PRONABES), must have a tutor to promote their good academic performance and timely completion of their studies. The purpose of the work is to monitor the tutorial action by applying questionnaires to these students in two stages. The first stage begins with a diagnosis of the new scholarship holders' perception of tutoring, which will be determined through what they know and what they expect from it. The second stage will be carried out after one semester when the student has already had an interaction with his tutor and it will be possible to see if there has been a change in perception, to know if the tutoring has met the expectations of the student and to detect possible problems in the tutorial action. This study shows the results of the first stage in which 57 questionnaires have been applied to the population of new scholarship holders, showing the results of 44 of them who have answered.
