Abstract

A protocol and its instruments are presented to decide how many laurel trees can be cut in a cocoa and banana plot in indigenous Talamanca, Costa Rica, and what criteria should be taken into account to decide which trees to cut. Decisions are based on the diametric inventory, the health and quality of the stem, and the growth of the trees in the plot.
