UAEH researcher and UANL scientists obtain a patent

Dr. Rosa Ángeles Vázquez García

Materials science is a very dynamic branch of knowledge, where multidisciplinary scientific teams apply the constant discoveries in physics and basic chemistry to develop new components to solve problems or improve everyday life.

In this branch of science, materials are classified according to their use in four groups based on their properties: metallic, ceramic, polymers and composite materials.

Polymers, better known as plastics, are giant, lightweight, corrosion-resistant organic molecules that are good electrical insulators and are suitable for use at high temperatures, but have relatively low tensile strength.
