A total of 181 graduates from 28 undergraduate programs of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH) were distinguished with the EGEL Award for Excellence Performance by the National Evaluation Center for Higher Education (Ceneval), after applying the General Examinations for Undergraduate Graduation (EGEL), corresponding to the period July-December 2019 and January-December 2020, which places this institution of higher education among the five public universities in the country with the highest number of award winners.
During the awards ceremony, held virtually, the rector of the UAEH, Adolfo Pontigo Loyola, said that it is worthy to recognize those graduates who have demonstrated their commitment with perseverance and results. "Their outstanding performance assures us that they will be the professionals that society requires and at the service of the common good," he said, after endorsing the University's commitment to higher education in Mexico.
The team formed by students of the Law School of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH) won their pass to the National Stage in the VIII National Oral Litigation Competition, organized by ABA ROLI Mexico with the purpose that students put into practice what they have learned in the classroom to make the best legal defenses in their professional life.
Susana Valeria Segovia Pérez, Mónica Magaly Guerrero Martínez, Alberto Aguilar Murillo and Leticia Martínez Gómez, students of the Law Degree of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities (ICSHu) and advised by the academic Rubén Lizardi Velasco, will represent the UAEH in the National Stage of the VIII National Oral Litigation Competition.

Adolfo Pontigo Loyola, rector of the highest house of studies in the entity, expressed his gratitude and recognition to the 66 benefactors who through their donations supported the university student body, in what he described as an act of altruism. "The academic faculty of the University has given a sign of affection and solidarity," said the rector of the UAEH in his message.
