General Examination for Bachelor's Degree Graduation (EGEL)


EGELs are one of the most important instruments that exist in our country to evaluate the results of the educational process at the higher level, these learning tests, standardized and specialized by degree, with a national and institutional scope, fulfill the purpose of providing valid and reliable information that contributes to determine the degree of suitability of each graduate with respect to an established standard of training and performance, for a start of the professional exercise in a social and labor environment that is rapidly changing; The level of effectiveness and relevance of educational programs and academic performance indicators, from which external evaluation agencies can identify the merits of each educational institution.

At the University, the General Directorate of Evaluation is responsible for the actions related to the General Undergraduate Graduation Examination, the institution guarantees to apply an EGEL to 100% of the graduates, therefore, there are two types of tests:

  • EGEL offered by the National Evaluation Center for Higher Education (Ceneval).
  • Institutional EGEL, because it does not have a national version; it is designed within the bachelor's degree programs by the academic bodies under a rigorous methodology, and has been offered since 2013.

The testimonials of satisfactory or outstanding performance that are given to the students as a result of the test, constitute a certification, whose importance and usefulness is for the graduates themselves, educational institutions, employers and society in general, who will be able to verify the quality offered in our institution.
