Thesis Completion

What is it? Benefit granted to unionized academic personnel in which they can enjoy a paid leave of absence for 75 days for the completion of their master's thesis or 100 days in the case of a doctorate.

To whom is it directed? unionized academic personnel who are pursuing a master's or doctoral degree and who are in the process of completing the corresponding thesis.



Requirements:

  • Request for leave of absence addressed to Dr. Saúl Agustín Sosa Castelán, General Secretary of the Academic Staff Union.
  • C.V. with photograph with supporting documents in copy (must contain in addition to general data, RFC, CURP, ELECTOR CODE, E-MAIL, TELEPHONE NUMBER, CELL PHONE AND FIXED TELEPHONE NUMBER)
  • Proof or Official Letter from the Director authorizing the release of time or academic discharge (must indicate the subjects, semester and group), in case of being assigned to 2 academic areas, bring the authorization of the 2 Directors.
  • Proof or Official Letter from the leader of the Academic Body where it is mentioned if any academic body will be strengthened or if there will be a new LGAC.
  • Appointment and seniority. The appointment must contain level, category, area of assignment and monthly salary (updated appointment or certificate).
  • Written statement endorsed by the thesis tutor or advisor specifying the percentage of progress of the thesis, the reasons for the delay and the probable date for obtaining the degree.
  • Schedule of activities endorsed by the tutor or thesis advisor.
  • Copy of U.A.E.H. credential.
  • Copy of voter's credential.
  • Unique Key of Population Registry.
  • Copy of the examination certificate or diploma of the last degree obtained.
  1. The professor completes his file in duplicate and submits it to the DRIIA.
  2. The DRIIA signs and stamps the receipt of one set of the file and receives the other.
  3. The professor delivers to the SPAUAEH the file signed and sealed by the DRIIA.
  4. The SPAUAEH is making the pertinent arrangements with the General Secretariat.
  5. The General Secretariat issues the corresponding resolution.
  6. At the end of the leave of absence, the professor submits to the Personnel Administration Office, with a copy to SPAUAEH and DRIIA, the documentation accrediting the completion of the thesis in question.
