DISCIPLINARY BACKGROUND

Why study the Master's Degree in Management and Development of New Technologies?

The MGDT seeks the formation of human capital capable of carrying out administrative and engineering processes that involve the creation of new technologies, becoming fundamental pillars for companies to generate products and apply innovative processes that have a substantive impact on society and the economy, which contribute to technological development through elements that are part of the cycle of technology management such as: surveillance, knowledge protection and commercialization of science.

To train master leaders in Management and Development of New Technologies with a solid academic-professional, flexible, ethical, proactive and multidisciplinary preparation, with emphasis on the management and development of multimodal systems for the solution of problems that support the design, implementation, assimilation, transfer and commercialization of innovative technologies in the industry at regional, national and international levels.
In 2023, the Master's program in Development and Management of New Technologies is recognized as a quality program at regional, national and international level for its multidisciplinary training and its link to social and industry demands; it has consolidated LGAC and Academic Bodies, as well as a solid infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment that together contribute to scientific, technological, economic and social development.
General Objective
  • To train masters and masters leaders in the field of management and development of new technologies with the ability to apply the principles of management and engineering in problems derived from innovation and sustainable development through multidisciplinary competencies that allow the creation, safeguarding and commercialization of products derived from the application of knowledge in the industry.

Specific Objectives
  • To understand the principles of engineering and integration of multidisciplinary knowledge through the analysis and demand of the industry leading to production and technological development.
  • Analyze and apply the basic principles of administrative systems for the optimization of processes and products in companies through the technological management cycle.
  • Develop competencies for the planning, design and evaluation of technologies in integral projects based on criteria of economic, social, technological and environmental feasibility and relevance.
  • Develop skills to protect and commercialize science through the implementation of existing intellectual property or trade secret mechanisms.
  • To develop research skills for conducting basic and applied research in the industrial sector by applying the phases of the scientific method.
  • To foster oral and written communication skills, through the dissemination of research results, to promote their integration into the scientific community and their linkage with other industry sectors.
  • Multimodal Engineering: Understands the principles of engineering and integration of multidisciplinary knowledge for the design, development or implementation of multimodal systems using new technology, through the analysis of industry needs with specific technology demands. It promotes the technical, methodological and scientific qualification necessary for the promotion of innovative applications, materials, tools and equipment.

  • Technology Management and Administration: Focuses on the study of the basic principles of the development of administration and management systems, through the implementation of new technology in the industry, under the principles of professional project management, quality, environmental and technological standards, as well as the optimization of processes and resources.
