The Preparatory School Number 3 belongs to the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, an institution that for its academic results is one of the best universities in the country and Latin America, is also recognized among the thousand one plus (1001+) in the world according to Ranking International Times Higher Education and in the position one hundred and one plus (101+) in Latin America according to the British classifier Times Higher Education. The institution is characterized by its commitment to the integral formation of students, instilling universal values such as responsibility, work, honesty, among others, reflected in the work of directors, academics and administrators who work with impetus to respond with the quality that our students deserve to meet the needs demanded by society.

Our priority is the quality of teaching-learning of academics and students tending the development of skills and competencies, which are necessary for professional and personal growth, proof of this, since 2018 we have the Level I of the National Baccalaureate System.

Our educational model guides the plans, study programs, didactic methods and professionalization of teachers, so that students develop certifiable competencies and successfully enter the labor market. It is a permanent state of reference on which the substantive and adjective processes of the University are articulated. Above all, it is an indicative norm of the institution. A dynamic construct expressed in six interrelated dimensions: philosophical dimension, pedagogical dimension, sociological dimension, legal dimension, political dimension, operational dimension.

Our Academic Baccalaureate Program arises as a proposal that allows us to respond to the challenges of contemporary society and in particular to the purposes established in the Educational Model of the University, to the reform undertaken by the institution itself and the national reform of higher secondary education, where it is contemplated as main axes: Integral education; the incorporation of competencies as a methodological device where teaching and learning are conditioned with a sense and meaning for life, the incorporation of interdisciplinarity through integrative tasks, and modifies the conception of the academy to constitute it as an organism that guides and orients the development of the program, but assumes a didactic function in the teaching work.
