About

We cordially welcome you to the site of Preparatory Number 2, a school of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. For all of us who work in this institution, it is an honor that you visit us or that you have chosen to be part of our school community.

With more than 45 years of service to the youth of this region, we are aware that national and international dynamics force educational institutions to accredit their programs and certify their administrative processes in order to consolidate quality and offer excellent services; for this reason, our challenge and commitment is to be at the forefront, always keeping in mind the Mission and Vision of the High School of our University and thus contribute to the development of the region, the state and the country.

Our commitment lies in achieving a quality education for our students through the co-responsibility of all the actors involved in the educational process. We are sure that quality is not a fad or a speech, it is a daily practice, the result of teamwork and strategic planning embodied in our Development Program and supported by the Institutional Development Plan of our Alma Mater.

Jael Cecilio Hernández Méndez

First Place (Gold Medal) in the XIV National History Olympiad 2021

The student Jael Cecilio Hernandez Mendez of the Preparatory School Number 2 of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH), participated in the XIV Mexican History Olympiad 2021 and won first place.

The regional stage took place at the beginning of October, the state level participation took place at the end of October and in mid-November 2021 was the national level participation.

History is important because it allows us to know the past that forges the foundations of our present and that will allow us to build a future with an objective vision. UAEH high school students are integrally prepared to access higher levels of education and also to be incorporated in an active, dynamic and responsible way to our society.



kiara Ivonne Huazo Barrios

Third place (Bronze Medal) at the XIV National History Olympiad 2021

The student Kiara Ivonne Huazo Barrios from the Preparatory School Number 2 of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH), participated in the XIV Mexican History Olympiad 2021 and won third place.

The regional stage took place at the beginning of October, the state level participation took place at the end of October and in mid-November 2021 was the national level participation.

José Armando Cordero Ramírez

Third place (Bronze Medal) in the First National Mathematics Olympiad.

Jose Armando Cordero Ramirez proudly student of this High School Number 2 dependent of the UAEH maximum house of studies of the State of Hidalgo, participated in the First National Mathematics Olympiad "Roberto Ramirez Ramirez", and won the Third place (Bronze Medal).

This event was held in the city of Querétaro on June 4, 2023, and it was an event where the best students of the country in the area of mathematics met, each one representing their high schools and their states with dignity.

Mathematics is knowledge that is not only applied in the classroom; since ancient times in our society it has accompanied man to record, understand and process data that allow us to reason objectively, transmit results, apply knowledge and assess the relational conditions between elements and phenomena of our context.

What procedure do I have to follow to request a change of shift or group?

The process can be completed during the five working days following the end of your school term. Note: New students cannot apply for this procedure.

Documentation to be submitted:

  • Written request addressed to Julio Cesar Leines Medécigo, Director of School Administration.
  • It must contain your personal data (name, account number, school where you study).
    • Be regular and have a minimum grade point average of 8.0
    • Request (change of group or shift)
    • Motive
  • Academic history
  • Receipt of payment green copy (payable at Caja Universitaria)
  • If the reason is due to distance of residence, a proof of address and copies of the INE of both parents must be attached.

All these documents should be placed in a blue folder and handed to the academic secretary of the school. Here you will be informed if your application was approved and the group to which you were assigned.


How can I disenroll from insurance if I have already graduated from school?   

Enter the email afiliaciónsm@uaeh.edu.mx and send a message to the person in charge of the affiliation area of the UAEH.
  • In the mail you must write down your personal data (name, account number, school where you studied, and CURP).
  • The response will take 24 to 32 hours, indicating that your transaction has been initiated.
  • After this you must be attentive in your mail because it will send you a PDF document which must be printed and presented in the Affiliation area of your health clinic.
  • This document must also be submitted to the appropriate person at your new school.

What steps do I have to take to apply for the proficiency test?   

  • Check if there is an offer for the subject you want to evaluate. The calendars are displayed in the Address Book.
  • Apply to your school's academic secretary

How do I justify absence or non-attendance?   

Go to the academic secretary of your school and submit the medical voucher. Only proof issued by a public health institution such as IMSS, ISSSTE, General Hospital or Health Center will be accepted. Proof from private doctors are not considered for this purpose. Likewise, only work or internships that have been requested during those days will be justified.

What should I do to request Technical Advice?   

If you have failed 12 exams, you may request a one-time review of your situation by the Technical Board as long as the number of failed exams does not exceed the specified total.

Requirements:

  • Request it to the academic secretary who will refer you to the Social Work area to fill out a request for Technical Advice.
  • Submit a recent academic record.
  • Copy of your proof of registration
  • Be present on the day and time scheduled for the Technical Council. During the session, the members of the Technical Council will interview you.
