DISCIPLINARY BACKGROUND


Why study the Doctorate in Educational Sciences?


The Doctorate in Educational Sciences is a public program of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo that allows the formation of future professionals in the educational field. It also contributes to the development of the human being to work individually and in groups in order to generate theoretical constructs based on national and international needs.

In the social field, it seeks to increase the educational and training levels, so that professionals have the relevant competencies to carry out the activities corresponding to the disciplinary field, and thus the labor supply increases significantly for the population.

The educational program is one of the 12 doctoral programs assigned in the National Register of Quality Programs (PNPC) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACyT). On the other hand, the tenured academics are full-time research professors, whose commitment is at a personal, institutional and social level, which is determined by the constant updating in the disciplines of social sciences and humanities. Finally, the space to carry out the process.



To train high-level researchers in Educational Sciences for the construction, approach, contextualization and resolution of educational problems, the formulation of models of analysis, explanation and interpretation with an interdisciplinary character and the elaboration of proposals for educational development and innovation at the state, national and international levels.

  • To train high-level human resources in the field of research with an interdisciplinary character and with the capacity to undertake tasks of innovation and development of Educational Sciences that contribute to improve the quality of research and teaching.
  • To offer an innovative model of training and development of educational research that improves the institutional position of the university and the research community.
  • Articulate the academic tasks of teaching, research, dissemination and university extension, through consolidated academic bodies in the areas of educational theory, methodology and training.
  • To offer alternative solutions to major national and global problems, based on the development of studies and research projects for the improvement and transformation of educational systems.
  • The lines of research underlie the curricular organization and the contents of the seminars (subjects), which address the main dimensions of the Educational Sciences: social, cultural, political, pedagogical, instrumental and institutional. These dimensions make it possible to locate and analytically situate the different levels and processes in which the educational task is developed in order to account for the intra and interdisciplinary relationships that constitute it both in the field of basic and applied research and in the field of socio-institutional innovation.

    The lines of research allow the articulation of disciplinary areas with the structuring of fields of study and the specification of objects and lines of inquiry congruent with social and institutional needs, research interests, theoretical and methodological plurality and diverse possibilities of inter and multidisciplinary work.

    In the Doctorate in Educational Sciences, various academic production activities are carried out among students and teachers participating in the program, among the activities are attendance to different National and International Congresses, as well as publication of articles in indexed journals, below are listed some works from 2017 to 2020.
