Itzia María Cazares Palacios, holds a PhD in Psychology and a Master's degree in Human Development and Education from the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. As part of her academic training, she has made academic stays at McGill University in Montreal, Canada; at the Center for the Study of Rural Argentina at the National University of Quilmes, Argentina; and at the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of the Autonomous University of Baja California.
Among her most relevant international and national publications are the coordination of the book Acercamiento a los Estudios de Género en las Ciencias Sociales en el Estado de Coahuila, in which she also wrote the chapter Experiencias, reflexiones e implicaciones de los estudios de género y juventud en Saltillo, Coahuila (Experiences, reflections and implications of gender and youth studies in Saltillo, Coahuila); the chapter Desafíos para el sostenimiento de la vida familiar y expresiones de agencia en mujeres de contextos rurales en Coahuila, México, published in the book Género y ruralidades en el agro latinoamericano (Argentina); and the articles Mujeres del noreste de México que participan en proyectos productivos agropecuarios: Psychosocial analysis of their empowerment processes, and Tools to confront and transform spousal violence: the response of support services operational personnel.
From June 2019 to date, she works as a professor-researcher in the Academic Area of Psychology of the Institute of Health Sciences. She is currently part of the basic academic core of the Master's Degree in Psychology of the Faculty of Psychology of the Autonomous University of Coahuila, which is part of the National Register of Quality Graduate Studies of CONACYT.
