D. in Geography from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Master in Political Sociology from the Mora Institute and Bachelor in History from the University of Chile. He has several publications including the book: El abstencionismo electoral en México: Un análisis a nivel municipal (Ed. UAEH). He has also published several articles in specialized scientific journals.

He has coordinated several research projects and consultancies in the public and private sector, among them: Geography of participation and abstentionism in Mexico financed by the Ministry of Public Education and Electoral clientelism in Mexico, the case of the State of Hidalgo. Her lines of research are: 1. Electoral studies and 2.

Dr. Lizama is a professor-researcher in the academic area of political science and public administration. He has the Desirable Profile of the Teacher Improvement Program of the SEP and is a national researcher level I of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT.
