Bachelor's Degree in Sociology

If you are interested in studying the Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, you must have skills for critical analysis and reflection on social reality, as well as a committed attitude to the search for solutions to society's problems. It is important that you have communication skills, teamwork, empathy and respect for cultural diversity, in order to understand and comprehensively address social phenomena. It is also recommended that you have basic knowledge of social sciences and humanities, in order to understand the theories and concepts of sociology.

Upon graduation from the Bachelor's Degree in Sociology at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo:

• You will learn to design and apply surveys to carry out market research or opinion studies that will allow you to elaborate diagnoses and propose solutions to the problems you are studying.
• You will use different theoretical explanations to pinpoint the causes of collective phenomena that affect your life and the environment in which you live.
• You will apply your knowledge to improve the actions undertaken by different public and private entities, by preparing diagnoses of needs and analyzing the demands for the benefit of different sectors of the population.
• You will learn about the different specialized fields of sociology, where you will apply your knowledge to analyze very specific aspects of social reality and contribute to social development through original research in public institutions or particular sectors.
