Bachelor's Degree in Social Anthropology

In the Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology, you will understand the diversity, complexity and changes that occur in today's societies and cultures. You will identify different theories, strategies and methods used for research, which will allow you to create new projects and knowledge focused on improving society. In addition, you will gain the ability to analyze, diagnose and propose solutions to different environmental and cultural problems, both in your community and in your country or in other parts of the world.
Admission Requirements
- To have completed the general baccalaureate or propaedeutic in the area of Social Sciences, in the terms stipulated by the School Control Regulations in force, which shall be evidenced with the original of the certificate of studies, legalized by the competent educational authorities.
- Have a minimum GPA of seven (7.0).
- Pass the admission exam.
- Satisfy the requirements of the School Control Regulations in force.
- Submit the required documentation within the deadlines and with the formalities required by the School Control Regulations in force.
- Have been accepted through the selection process and present receipts proving payment of registration, tuition and other stipulated fees.
- Comply with the requirements indicated in the call for applications and the instructions referred to in the applicable regulations.
- In the event that there are fewer vacancies than requested, the area may require an interview and/or a propaedeutic course.
Labor field
Among the places where you could practice your profession after graduating from Social Anthropology, these are some possibilities:
- Research and teaching in public and private universities and governmental agencies, as well as teaching in the area of social sciences.
- Cultural and heritage management in museums, cultural centers, companies and public and private organizations in charge of the regulation and preservation of cultural heritage.

Entry Profile
If you are interested in studying the Bachelor's Degree in Social Anthropology, you must have a vocation for research in the office and in the field, as well as sensitivity to the problems that affect society. It is important that you have basic and general knowledge of humanities and social sciences, as well as critical thinking skills. You must be able to adapt to different contexts and socio-cultural situations, have visual and auditory memory, a lot of creativity and innovation in your ideas, as well as openness to recognize customs and respect differences between cultures. Finally, train your oral and written communication skills.
