The graduate of the Master's Degree in Public Health will be a highly competitive professional capable of assessing the needs, problems and expectations of well-being of the populations at regional, national and international levels, guiding processes, practices and, according to the profile of the populations, improving healthy living conditions.

Will be able to lead projects and actions in the area of health in order to design, implement and evaluate services, policies, plans, programs and projects aimed at the welfare of the population, applying the scientific and epidemiological method to the study of public health problems for the prevention of diseases and environmental impact. It will be able to facilitate the teaching-learning processes of public health in the human capital that works in the operative units of its scope. As well as, disseminate knowledge through publications of scientific articles in national and international journals, conferences and mass or individual social communication programs.

Execute descriptive and analytical designs of the health situation of a population or a region of the factors associated with lifestyle, environment, human biology and health services, generating the necessary information for decision making and/or planning in the provision of health services.

Will be able to identify, interpret and make decisions regarding the problems and health needs of the population, through scientific methodology, with a high humanistic sense and vocation of service.
