Bachelor's degree in nutrition from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. Master in Biomedical and Health Sciences and PhD in Food Sciences and Human Health from the same university (both programs classified as quality postgraduate by CONACyT). Diabetes Educator by the Universidad Iberoamericana Cd. de Mexico and the UAEH. He is a current member of the National System of Researchers at Level 1. He has diplomas in computer science, teaching and digital skills. Her research interests are nutrition in the various stages of life (with emphasis on chronic non-communicable diseases, pregnant women and children under 5 years), use of phytochemicals in pain and nursing education. She has indexed and refereed articles in high impact journals, six book chapters in: "self-care of people with diabetes", "nutrition and diabetes" and "diabetes, an opportunity for a healthy life", published by UAEH. He has more than thirty courses, lectures and conferences, in many of which he has presented poster and oral papers. He is co-author of the 1st place of the National Award in Nutrition Research 2011 of the Nestlé Fund for Nutrition of the Mexican Foundation for Health A.C. in the Basic Science Category and teacher in the Academic Area of Nursing.
