B.S. in Food Chemistry from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. Master in Food Science and Technology from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. PhD in Biochemical Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, in the research lines of the use of natural compounds for the treatment of cardiometabolic diseases, as well as the study of the association of genetic factors in the Mexican population with the development of chronic degenerative diseases.

She is a researcher Level I of the SIN since 2018 and with Recognition to the desirable PRODEP Profile in 2022-2025. She has 20 publications indexed in the Journal Citation Reports, with more than 450 citations and h-index of 9 according to SCOPUS.

She worked as a Research Professor in the Department of Health at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Lerma in 2017-2018. She was in charge of the Genomic Medicine laboratories at the Hospital Regional Lic. Adolfo López Mateos in 2019 and head of Research at the Hospital del Niño DIF Hidalgo during 2020-2022. She is currently teaching coordinator of the Academic Area of Nursing of the Institute of Health Sciences of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo.

Her current research focuses on the interdisciplinary approach in the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases.
