Welcome to the microsite of the Institute of Economic and Administrative Sciences (ICEA) of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH). In this space you will be able to appreciate the undergraduate and graduate educational offerings. The ICEA has seven undergraduate educational programs: Accounting, Administration, Economics, Foreign Trade, Tourism, Marketing and Gastronomy; and four graduate programs: Master in Auditing, Master in Administration, Doctorate in Economic and Administrative Sciences and recently the Master in Economic Studies.

Academic Area of Economics

Galardonada con el Premio Hidalgo de Ciencia y Tecnología 2025 en la categoría de Humanidades, por su destacada trayectoria académica y su contribución al desarrollo comunitario con enfoque de género. Integrante del Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII), Nivel I, su trabajo ha incidido en el fortalecimiento de procesos productivos y sociales en comunidades rurales del estado de Hidalgo.

Academic Area of Administration

En 2025, fueron galardonados con el Primer lugar en el Premio de Investigación REPICE 2024, en la categoría de Investigadores Consolidados, por el artículo científico “Inclusión financiera y complejidad económica en México”. Su trabajo aporta evidencia sobre la relación entre inclusión financiera y desarrollo económico a nivel municipal, contribuyendo al análisis de factores clave para la toma de decisiones y el fortalecimiento del desarrollo territorial en el país.

Academic Area of Administration

Obtuvieron el segundo lugar en el Concurso de Pósteres (categoría Posgrado) del Mosaico CIT 2025, otorgado por el Consejo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Hidalgo (CITNOVA), con el trabajo “Economía circular en la mirada social: tejidos de una red de percepciones”. Este reconocimiento destaca su aportación en el análisis del cambio climático y medio ambiente desde la economía circular.

Can social service be wherever I want?   

No, this depends on the Directorate of Social Service and Professional Internships that will indicate in which receiving unit you will perform the service.

How can I become a holder?   

The UAEH has a degree regulation that you can check on the web page in the section of the School Control Department, where you can verify the degree modalities.

Does the degree program include study trips?   

Yes, the undergraduate programs organize study trips according to the semester in order to link students with the productive sector.

What languages are taught in the degree program?   

English is taught in all degree programs and French in some.

How many years does it take to complete a bachelor's degree?  

An average of 4.5 years
