Admission Requirements
For admission to the Bachelor's Degree in Biology, it is necessary that the applicant has completed high school and has no outstanding coursework, which represents a basic training, whose theoretical knowledge will allow him/her to better understand and develop the topics of the proposed syllabus.
The following are entrance requirements for applicants to the Bachelor's Degree in Biology:
- To have a high school diploma from any system officially recognized by the Ministry of Public Education, with a minimum grade point average of 7.0 and not owe any subject or course.
- Comply with the requirements in due time and form established in the UAEH call for applicants.
- Submit and pass the selection exam (EXANI-II).

Entry Profile
If you are interested in studying Biology, you should have a general knowledge of mathematics, chemistry and biology. In addition, skills of analysis, synthesis, integration and comparison of diverse sources of information, as well as efficient oral and written communication skills are required. Adaptation to changing environments and to work in the field and in the laboratory. Finally, an interest in constant training in knowledge is essential.
Profile of graduates
Upon graduating from the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo with a degree in Biology:
- You will be able to distinguish and analyze biological diversity, to assess, classify and describe its distribution according to the changes it has undergone throughout its history, through the application of appropriate laboratory and field techniques and methodological strategies.
- You will implement conservation and restoration strategies to contribute to the solution of the deterioration and loss of biological diversity through the application of ecological and sustainable management techniques and methods.
- You will be able to propose alternatives for the sustainable use, management and exploitation of biodiversity to respond to the socioeconomic needs of the environment, which will have an impact on the improvement of the quality of life and the environment.
- You will be able to disseminate and divulge knowledge of the biological sciences in order to promote teaching, achieve interaction with other professionals and foster the biological culture of society.
