He received his bachelor's degree in electronics, as well as his master's and doctorate in science, specializing in optoelectronics, from the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
His research topics are associated with the optimization of electronic circuits using emerging algorithms, and the HAWC Gamma Ray Observatory. He has more than 50 research articles; he belongs to the National System of Researchers level 1, and is a member of the HAWC Collaboration since 2010.
He has done research stays at the Randall Laboratory of the University of Michigan, USA; at the Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies, in Dublin, Ireland; at the Astrophysics Department of the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica, in Tonanzintla, Puebla; and at Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA.
Since 2003 he has been a professor-researcher at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo; he is a founding member of the Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Advanced Technology in 2004; member of the basic core of the Master's Degree in Advanced Computing and Electronics since 2020. In 2022, he received the QS Merit for Internationalization award from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo.
