D. in Electrical Engineering Sciences from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (CINVESTAV-IPN), and has worked at TELECOM, dependent of the Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes, professor by subject at UNAM, campus Aragón and currently works at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo at the Instituto de Ciencias Básicas e Ingeniería, within the Academic Area of Computing and Electronics. He is working on the synthesis and characterization of semiconductor oxides and other types of materials with sensing and pollutant degradation properties in water. Additionally, these materials are applied for the detection of volatile organic compounds, harmful to health, such as CO and CO2, which is done by studying their structural properties, distribution of volumetric and electrical surface elements. He has SNI II distinction and recognition to the desired PRODEP profile.
