He is a Pharmaceutical Chemist and Biologist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he also obtained his Master's degree in Physical Chemistry (Methods and Metrology). He holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and currently works in the Academic Body of Analytical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of Solutions and Surfaces in the Academic Area of Chemistry at the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo. His research interests are related to the development of analytical methodologies and the design of electrochemical sensors.
He is recognized by the National System of Researchers SNI with level II. He has supervised doctoral, master's and bachelor's degree theses, and is a professor at graduate and undergraduate level. He is the author of articles and national and international indexed journals with index ha of 14, he also has 11 book chapters. Among the outstanding projects are the development of an electronic tongue for the simultaneous quantification of glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides. Development of electrochemical sensors of biomedical and environmental interest for low-cost decentralized analysis, as well as the development of low-cost miniaturized biosensors in planar configuration. He has achieved several distinctions and honorable mentions throughout his academic career.
