He is an Industrial Chemist from the Universidad Autónoma de Morelos, Master and PhD in Science in Biotic Product Development from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, he did a Postdoctorate at the University of the United States. Since March 2010 he is a Full-Time Professor-Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, where he has taught in the Food Engineering and Food Science Master's Programs of the Instituto de Ciencias Agropecuarias. He has publications in indexed scientific journals (JCR). He has supervised Bachelor, Master and Doctorate theses. He has made stays at the Center for Development of Biotic Products of the IPN, at the United States Department of Agriculture in Albany, California, and at Embrapa Agroindústria de Alimentos in Rio de Janeiro. He develops basic and applied research projects in: Extraction, Characterization, Modification and Application of starches, fibers, tuber flours and starch isolation by-products, for use in the elaboration of functional foods, among others.
