Biochemical Engineer in Food from the Instituto Tecnológico de Acapulco, Master in Biotic Product Development Science from the Centro de Desarrollo de Productos Bióticos del IPN and PhD in Polymer Science from the Instituto Tecnológico de Zacatepec. Since 2009 he is Research Professor at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, where he has taught in the programs of Food Engineering, Agroindustrial Engineering, Master in Food Science and PhD in Agricultural Sciences. She is a member of the Consolidated Academic Body of Exploitation of polymers of food interest, is a member of the National System of Researchers (Level II) and Professor with PRODEP Desirable Profile Recognition. She has publications in indexed and popular scientific journals and has directed bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses. She develops projects on underutilized colorful foods containing high starch content for their characterization and potential use in the food industry, studies on the chemical, physical, mechanical and structural interactions of various components (starch, proteins, fibers, etc.) that can confer a food system with techno-functional applications and/or as biodegradable coatings (films, immersion), for the food industry, encapsulation of bio-active compounds. She has done internships and has academic collaboration with United States department, Agricultural Research Service, in Processed Food Research Unit, Of Alabany CA.
