Biochemical Engineer from the Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya, Master in Food Science and PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Faculty of Chemistry, UNAM. Since 2000, she has been a Research Professor at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, where she has taught in the Food Engineering, Agroindustrial Engineering, Master's Degree in Food Science and PhD in Agricultural Sciences programs. She belongs to the Consolidated Academic Body of Agrifood Biotechnology, is a member of the National System of Researchers (Level II) and Professor with PRODEP Desirable Profile Recognition. In 2005 she obtained the XXIX National Award in Food Science and Technology in the category "Chair for Young Researchers". In 2018 she received the Recognition for excellence in research in the Latin American and Caribbean Region, "Premio Latinoamericano ELSEVIER-SENACyT 2018 (Research Excellence Elsevier-Senacyt Award)". She has publications in indexed and popular scientific journals, has directed bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses, and in collaboration with her colleagues of the Academic Body, she develops research in the field of Agri-Food Biotechnology.
